In the Candeo program, we address the type of “love addiction” that typically describes the addict as a “romance junkie” or “relationship hopper.” These individuals compulsively hop from one infatuated relationship to another. Initially, they might believe they’re actually in love, but it’s really the rush of the hunt, and a fantasy they create in their minds—a fantasy that one day they will find someone who can keep the rush and excitement of a new fling going indefinitely.
This type of love addiction can have a sexual component, but it’s more a matter of being addicted to the first, exciting part of falling in love—the initial “creation” of a relationship. It’s usually all about “the chase.” The initial stages of romance can be highly addictive because the brain releases a tidal wave of powerful neuro-chemicals—adrenaline, dopamine and endorphins. When the relationship turns physical, the powerful bonding chemical “oxytocin” is also released.
This powerful neuro-chemical rush can quickly become a “drug-of-choice” for self-medication and escape from the stress and pressures of life. A literal “chemical dependency” develops in the brain. When the newness and excitement of the relationship begins to wear off, the neuro-chemicals start to fade. The love addict moves on in pursuit of the next rush, leaving in their wake a string of broken relationships.
The Candeo Healthy Sexuality program is a brain-science-based approach to freedom from this type of love addiction. Learn more about the brain science behind love addiction.
If you’re struggling under the negative effects of love addiction, you’ve likely tried to stop many times, only to fall right back into the habit again. It’s not because you are flawed, weak or a lost cause. Everything you need to change your behavior is already built into the structure of your brain—the same type of brain process that got you into this behavior, can help get you out.
Our Healthy Sexuality program for love addiction is made up of ten highly interactive, multimedia training modules. Each module draws on many years of clinical success by highly experienced therapists. Our training also uses major breakthroughs in brain science and behavioral change.
You will have access to the very best that neuroscience, psychology, and behavioral research have to offer. You will also be able to apply what you learn in the program to your life through dozens of individually constructed daily interactive practices and exercises.

My head’s in a really good place—all I have to do is use the tools like FRC that I was taught in Candeo and it works. At first it seemed too simple, but I am amazed. I’m even in a relationship and it’s 500% better than any in the past. So, it’s all good on my side. It’s weird now that I’m not spending so much of my time obsessed with the “hunt.” This is allowing me to develop a healthier sexual relationship with my partner. I can tell you that I’m finding I have to work to achieve a high level of satisfaction in my current relationship—it takes a lot more effort than just a 1-2 week fling, but it’s worth the fight. I’m very happy and content.
